MES Soaring to Success
Principal weekly update
Good afternoon parents!
Thank you to all who attended the open house this past Thursday night! I hope you all learned lots about your child's classroom and received some valuable information from the community fair.
I am so sad to say that I was unable to attend the Kindness Walk due to illness. I heard it was a fabulous time! I want to thank the PTO, the staff and students for all the hard work they put into making it such a success! The weather finally cooperated with us and a good time was had by all.
Get your book character costumes ready for October 31st! Students will spend some of their day enjoying festival like activities through out the day. Art projects, games and music will be part of the festivities as well as a book character parade!
I just want to remind parents again the importance of getting your child to school every day and on time. We know there is a lot of illness going around and should you have any questions about whether to send your child or not do not hesitate to reach out to me or Nurse Dwan!
Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Updates and News
Friday’s Kindness Walk was a huge success! Not only was it a beautiful day filled with kindness, friendship, and fun, but we were also able to raise over $4,000! The MES PTO will apply these funds to sprucing up the playground, including the Sensory Walk and other future enhancements!
- Thank you to everyone who participated: students for walking, staff for their support and spirit, room parents for their help with banners, Nonnewaug Robotics for a little extra fun, our PTO volunteers for making it all happen, and our favorite DJ Mr. P for an awesome dance party! And of course, our amazing families for their financial and cheering support! We couldn’t have done it without any of you!
