A Message from the Principal
Summer is nearly here, and we can see and feel the excitement among our students. This time of year is always both celebrative and reflective. As a school, we are proud of our students and what they accomplished. We also recognize continual growth and improvement are essential elements of education, and our staff has already been engaged in conversation about changes for next year. This includes a literacy curriculum pilot, an additional progress report to be sent home in the fall, the use of new data tools to help challenge and/or support students during What I Need time (WIN), and ways to involve more students in our monthly community-building assemblies to name a few.
Greeley School has already started to undergo change heading into the summer as well.
Our PTO ran the lead in reenvisioning landscaping around the school this year, ending with the recent renovation of our entryway grounds. The changing face of our school will continue into the summer as construction begins on our front entryway and vestibule next week. Like our students heading into the summer, the work done on and within our school demonstrates the promise of growth, renewal, and positive change.
On a different note, the forecast is currently calling for beautiful weather for tomorrow's Field Day. Water bottles and an application of sunscreen are highly recommended. We are looking forward to this celebratory end-of-year event!
Sincerely,
Joshua Swanner
