Subject: Your Vote Counts 2022! Is Your Voter Registration Current?
Greetings Brantner Families!
We are writing to encourage all of you to vote in this fall’s mid-term election!
Please check your voter registration to be sure that your voter registration is current, or if you are new to Colorado, register to vote. Colorado is a mail in ballot state and your address must be correct for you to receive your ballot.
You can check your voter registration information and/or register to vote at http://www.govotecolorado.com/.
Ballots will be mailed out the week of October 17th, so don’t delay in visiting the Go Vote Colorado website above! 27J Schools has a mill levy override question (5B) on the ballot. We encourage you to read your sample ballot available to you on this website, do your research on the issues and candidates, and vote!
As you know, 27J Schools had a bond and a mill levy override question on the ballot last November. The bond was successful. The mill levy override was not.
Of the 75,213 registered voters in 27J Schools boundaries, only 26,242 or 34.89% voted in last November’s election. See the election summary here.
The Go Vote Colorado website is very user friendly. Updating your voter information or registering to vote takes just minutes. All you need to register to vote is your Social Security Number or your Colorado Driver’s License.
Your Vote Counts!
Subject: ¡Tu voto cuenta 2022!
¡Tu voto cuenta!
Community Information from Dr. Fiedler
I am so proud of our Brantner staff in driving towards our mission and our core goals. The people that support this building are "ALL IN" and I see it every day! As we enter into voting season I want to remind you to check your voter registration and make sure your voice (No matter what you choose for you and your family.) is heard in this next election. I also want to be transparent about some of the moves the district will look at making (due to the financial reality) if the mill ballot issue (5B) doesn't pass....
ï‚· School bus routes will be cut.
ï‚· No improved safety for students including at elementary schools which have no safety officers.
ï‚· Class sizes will go up.
ï‚· Middle school and high school sports will be cut.
ï‚· Extra-curricular activities which have a paid sponsor will be cut.
ï‚· No additional teachers hired for STEM/Career and Technical Education classes, and no additional programs at the new STEM/CTE centers to meet increased student needs.
Thank you for those of you who joined us for our informational meeting last night. As always, thank you for partnering with us to serve our kids.
