Hello Ridgeline Families!

Our Ridgeline Mission is summed up in three words. BELONG. INSPIRE. GROW. I think what was most challenging for me this week was Inspiration.

Until today, when I finally sat down to draft my words for the newsletter and I read through all the info Tessa had already put in and it made me smile!

It also caused me to look back on many small moments from the week that absolutely inspired me and lifted me up. A common thread I realized was that my inspiration was always connected to others.

It wasn’t necessarily what I did, and wasn’t what others did for me, it was simply being present with students, staff, and other people and enjoying those simple moments.

So much great information in the Flyer today, highlighted by ASB elections next week. Preview the candidates on the Youtube link. I would also like to invite any and all to join the Booster Club or attend the meeting Feb. 22 to learn more about it!

I’m taking the Rams in the Superbowl because I have to support my EWU boy- Cooper Kupp!

ASB Election Campaign week is Feb. 14 - 18. Students will watch the candidate videos on Friday the 18th and vote immediately after. Here is a list of the ASB candidates.
They are all awesome! Good luck to all. Campaign materials will go up Monday, Feb. 14th

This will be the bell schedule for February 18 and 22.

February 18 and 22 – Students will attend Advisory for 1 hour

• February 18: ASB Elections
• February 22: Student Registration for next year's classes

If your student will be playing in a Spring Sport, there will be a Parent Information Meeting on Thursday, February 17th from 6-8pm in the RHS Commons.

National Honor Society applications are open for all students with a 3.5 cumulative GPA. To join, fill out an application, write a short essay response, have a 3.5 cumulative (or higher) GPA, by Monday, February 28th. Once all documents/GPA is verified, you will receive an email to pay the $5.00 dues at the business office. Students who meet this criteria will all be accepted (freshmen through current juniors); NHS is nationally recognized through colleges and universities; students can be awarded for their incredible academic status, including scholarships and other opportunities offered during a student’s senior year. See Mrs. Grisafi in B215 or Mr. Anderson in the counseling center with any questions.

Calling all Ridgeline Readers! Book Club meets on Wednesdays in the library. Come join a fun, easy, group of book lovers to talk about what we love to read and to break down books together. All are welcome!

Want to showcase your writing or speaking skills? No experience necessary! Come to the RHS Library on February 16th at 2:15pm for a quick informational meeting!

All RHS Clubs will have their photos taken for the yearbook on Wednesday, February 16th in the Commons. Times to be announced. Stay tuned!

Hey Falcons! Here at RHS we believe every student should have the feminine hygiene products they need to belong, inspire and grow. Help us with this mission by donating pads or tampons in the leadership room from February 14th-28th!

February is National CTE Month celebrating Career and Technical Education. We have great CTE teachers at Ridgeline who can help students develop 21st Century Employability Skills and prepare students for all types of future careers. Statistics show that 95% of students who take more than one CTE class graduate high school, which is 10% higher than the national average. Talk to your grade level counselor to find out what amazing CTE courses we offer our Falcon students! We have several terrific CTSO’s (Career Technical Student Organizations) for our students to join too! Talk to your CTE teachers about joining.

New jobs on the Jobs Board, so please have students and parents check it out, especially if looking for fun summer jobs!

To learn more about student experiences at school and their well-being, we will ask for your student's feedback via an online survey completed during school next week. The survey shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes to complete. Please see the attached letter for more information.

Friday, March 18th was our planned LID/Snow Makeup day. With at least one day of school canceled already due to weather in January, we know this will NOT be a LID, but instead will be a normal school day for students and staff.
