Morning Drop Off ~ Building Independent Learners
As we start this new week, please know that we are requesting families to say "goodbye" to their children at the front doors. Teachers and staff have a lot on their plate at the beginning of the day, since students eat in the classrooms. We are trying to help our students be independent learners and learn their way around the school. Saying goodbye at the door can also help students with separation issues as they can get started right away in an activity and forget they are missing their loved one.
Sometimes, this is honestly harder on the grown ups than the students. Please know we have a lot of adult supervision inside the building and they will help your child get to class if they forget where they are going. We promise, your child will get to class and not get lost. Thank you for your help and understanding.
