Knighthawk Families,
I hope that all of our families had a wonderful summer and are relaxed, recharged, and ready for a new school year. We are excited to welcome all of our students, parents, and teachers back for another great school year at PKMS.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our incoming 6th graders, as well as all our new students to PKMS! We have a fantastic PKMS family, and we know each of you will be a valuable new addition. Our plan is to offer you a wonderful learning experience in a safe and inviting school.
This year we look forward to continuing to build on the culture that we have started at PKMS, and we also look forward to meeting the emotional, social, and academic needs of all of our students. We will continue to support our vision at PKMS... "As a community of learners, we strive to create a safe environment focused on high achievement through a rigorous curriculum and student/teacher engagement. We work to instill a sense of community and positive citizenship while encouraging our students to SOAR in STEAM initiatives and college/career readiness."

All athletes must have a physical dated on or after April 1st, 2021 uploaded to Planeths to try out.

Nurse News
ATTENTION: 7th GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS
Please make an appointment for your child to update their Tdap vaccination. ALL seventh graders will be REQUIRED to get the Tdap vaccine to protect them against whooping cough (pertussis). One (1) dose of Tdap vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) administered on or after the 7th birthday will be required for all seventh graders. It is strongly recommended that adolescents who have not yet received a dose of Tdap vaccine be immunized in advance of this requirement. Students who are not up to date with their Tdap vaccination may not be allowed to attend school.
Students have only 30 calendar days (from the first day of school 8/16/2021) to be in compliance with having a valid certificate according to the state’s regulations.
Please send a copy of the immunization record to the school nurse once they receive the updated vaccination.
This applies to virtual students as well.
PKMS Athletic Booster Club
This fall we will take the football field and volleyball court, and the Athletic Booster Club will be there to support our Knighthawks!
The Booster Club helps support our teams in a variety of ways: help provide uniforms and equipment that is safe to use, provide our championship teams with banners to display, and more. We also want to make sure that the players know they are supported, so we try to provide the fans with the best possible fan experience. Money is mainly generated by sales through our concession stands as well as through sponsorships. Our 2021-22 board currently consists of:

We would love to have some more people come on board. If you are able to contribute in the following areas, please contact Rhett at PKMSabc@gmail.com
- Sponsorship Coordinator - helps reach out to companies and/or individuals about sponsoring our program
- Membership Coordinator - keeps track of our membership role and contacts them about various booster club events
- Concession Coordinator - Makes sure that there is a concession leader for the various teams so that our concession stands are always manned
- Gear Coordinator - Communicates with the teams to let them know of PKMS athletic gear that is available so that they can support their team
