CRITERIA:

• WPHS Senior with plans to attend a university or college

• Financial need

ROBERT J. BROWN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

CRITERIA:

• WPHS senior who is enlisting in the military or majoring in the criminal justice field.

• Must demonstrate good character and strong academic performance

• Must plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college/university or vocational school

CRITERIA:

• Must be high school senior that will be pursuing Business major in college.

North Broadway Citizens Association Scholarship 2024

CRITERIA:

• Senior in High School who is a North Broadway Area Resident

REQUIREMENT:

• Transcript

• Resume of your scholastic achievements as well as your community involvement

• A letter of acceptance from college/school you will be attending

Philip Barnett Memorial Scholarship

CRITERIA:

• Senior at WPHS with 3.0 GPA and plans to pursue a career in engineering

White Plains Retired School Educators Scholarship

CRITERIA:

• Senior who plans to pursue a career in some field of education, i.e. teaching, counseling, psychology etc.

• GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply.

• Plans to attend a college or university

WPHS Parent Teacher Association Community Service Award

CRITERIA:

• Volunteer 30 hours in the community between July 1, 2023 and April 15, 2024 (hours may be accrued in-person or online/virtual). Please note that these 30 hours are beyond those hours required for National Honor Society membership.
• Submit a completed, signed application including log of community service hours and 150-word response by the deadline of April 15, 2024
• Graduate from White Plains High School in June 2024 and plan to attend post high school education (trade school/college/university) in Fall 2024

Idan Greenstein Memorial Scholarship

CRITERIA:

- High school senior who is a part of WPHS music group and/or ensemble

Renoda Hoffman Honorary Scholarship

CRITERIA:

-High school senior

REQUIREMENT:

-Complete short essay on topic provided

The Class of 1972 Scholarship

CRITERIA:

-High School Seniors

REQUIREMENTS:

-Complete Application attached

Hope Engine 2024 Scholarship

CRITERIA (Applicant must demonstrate):

- Be a current resident in the County of Westchester, NY

-Be currently enrolled in and graduate from a public or private high school in White Plains

- Plans to attend a two or four year college

-At the time of the awarding of any scholarship, be accepted for enrollment as a fulltime student in an accredited post-secondary institution for the fall of 2024 (no gap year)

- Minimum of 3.5 GPA

-Community Service

-Financial Need

APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:

-Essay of approximately 250 words describing how you would encourage the spirit of voluntarism in White Plains

Scoir is used to not only research colleges, but also request, process, send, and track the electronic delivery of all application-related documents. Students can even apply to colleges using Scoir. Launch of the 2024-25 FAFSA Form:

There are major changes and improvements coming to the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. This redesigned and streamlined FAFSA form will be available by Dec. 31, 2023.
