CRITERIA:
• Senior who plans to pursue a career in some field of education, i.e. teaching, counseling, psychology etc.

CRITERIA:
- Volunteer 30 hours in the community between July 1, 2023 and April 15, 2024 (hours may be accrued in-person or online/virtual). Please note that these 30 hours are beyond those hours required for National Honor Society membership.
- Submit a completed, signed application including log of community service hours and 150-word response by the deadline of April 15, 2024
- Graduate from White Plains High School in June 2024 and plan to attend post high school education (trade school/college/university) in Fall 2024

CRITERIA (Applicant must demonstrate):
- Be a current resident in the County of Westchester, NY
-Be currently enrolled in and graduate from a public or private high school in White Plains
- Plans to attend a two or four year college
-At the time of the awarding of any scholarship, be accepted for enrollment as a fulltime student in an accredited post-secondary institution for the fall of 2024 (no gap year)
- Minimum of 3.5 GPA
-Community Service
-Financial Need
APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:
- Individual scholarship cover sheet
-Essay of approximately 250 words describing how you would encourage the spirit of voluntarism in White Plains
-Personal/Financial Statement

White Plains High School will be using Scoir (pronounced “score”) as our college research and application management system. Scoir is used to not only research colleges, but also request, process, send, and track the electronic delivery of all application-related documents. Students can even apply to colleges using Scoir. Launch of the 2024-25 FAFSA Form:
There are major changes and improvements coming to the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. This redesigned and streamlined FAFSA form will be available by Dec. 31, 2023.
