Greetings Evergreen Families,
We have a unique schedule this week so please be aware. Sept. 21st, is our first EARLY DISMISSAL. Car Riders will come out starting at 1:40 and buses will begin loading at 1:45. Schools are CLOSED for ALL students on Sept. 22nd.
Sharing an important update in reference to PRE-K students and early dismissal days. . The Board of Education on September 13, 2023 approved an amended calendar, noting that Pre-K students will attend on two-hour early dismissal days. The 2023-2024 Amended SMCPS Calendar is posted at www.smcps.org/calendar
Parents/guardians, please remember the importance of the guidelines for sharing treats with our students in celebration of birthdays. All foods for celebrations provided without a complete list of ingredients, cannot be served to students. Thank you in advance to ensure we are supporting students with serious food allergies.

Drive-Thru Flu Vaccine for St. Mary’s County Community Members
- Individuals age 19 and older
- MSMH will provide flu vaccines for this age group. Registration will take place on-site. $10 donations are requested.
- Individuals age 18 and under
- SMCHD will provide flu vaccines for free for this age group. Registration will take place on-site. A parent or guardian must be present for children under the age of 18.
There will be NO school-located flu clinics provided at the public schools this year, so parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their child to one of these locations for flu vaccinations.
REMINDERS FOR COMPLETION:
Families, sharing so you are aware that there are a lot of additional benefits by submitting a meal application form. These perks include waivers on college applications, dual-enrollment courses with the College of Southern Maryland, and discounted fees to participate in St. Mary’s County Parks and Recreation programs.
*Acceptable Use Policy form completed Kindergarten through fifth grade. This agreement allows students to access GOOGLE apps for education and Schoology. We appreciate your support by completing the form by Sept. 30th. Acceptable Usage Policy linked here.
