Support our Food Drive
Join the Spokane Valley Partners Food Bank to support the needs of our community members by bringing in non-perishable canned goods.
Our food drive will run for two weeks: Monday, January 29th - Friday, February 9th.
Creativity Spotlight: Middle School Revolutionary War Board Games
In Mrs. Cook's middle school History class, students embarked on an innovative journey to make history come to life through the art of game design! These young "game changers" crafted their own board games--transforming their textbook knowledge of the Revolutionary War into strategic adventure.

Jan. 2: First day of school in 2024!
Jan. 8: Martin Luther King Jr. Readers Theater Elementary Workshop. This is the final Q2 workshop. Workshop is 11:20am-12:30pm. Students going on the bus to the HUB Sports Center for PE can be picked up between 1:15 and 1:20pm at the HUB. (Look for Q3 workshop registration beginning Jan. 17th.)
NO SCHOOL Monday, Jan. 15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Jan. 16-17 Fastbridge Testing This one-on-one testing is by appointment. Contact Mrs. Thompson for more information.
Jan 29: PTO Family HUB Day from 12:30pm-1:20pm at the HUB Sports Center. Come enjoy games at the HUB (19619 E Cataldo Ave.)!
Jan. 29-Feb. 9: Food Drive
Feb. 5: First day of Elementary Q3 Workshops
Feb 7: Roller Valley skate night 6pm-8pm provided by the PTO. . Students skate for free!
Testing to Guide Learning
K-8 home-based and on-site student assessments are happening now by appointment with your consulting teachers at SVLA. All Kindergarten and 1st grade students will have one-on-one FastBridge assessments on January 16 & 17th. We will contact you with available time slots. Our 2nd-8th grade students will complete assessments during class the week of January 17th.
