LEAVING THEIR MARK! Beam Signing Ceremony at New Campus
Everyone had a chance to leave their mark...literally!
Argyle ISD hosted its first Beam Signing Ceremony at the new Jane Ruestmann Elementary in Northlake. Students and families zoned for the new campus joined us at the event and signed their names on the historic beams. The beams will have a future home inside the campus, which is scheduled to open in August 2024 and will serve grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Special guests included Jane Ruestmann, who was fittingly being honored on Valentine's Day! She was a beloved teacher in Argyle ISD for more than 40 years. Also, new Principal Lauren Tullos spoke at the event and shared the first signing with Mrs. Ruestmann!
We had a great turnout at the event that included students, families, future JRE staff, Argyle ISD Board of Trustees, locally elected officials and many more! Thank you to everyone who attended and left their mark on the history of Jane Ruestmann Elementary.

Honoring Argyle ISD's Amazing Counselors!
Last week we recognized Counselors Week and their vital role in support of our Eagles. The theme was “School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused,” highlighting the essential support school counselors provide for student success and career planning.
Our counselors are integral partners in our educational community, guiding students to discover their strengths, interests, and talents. Our counselors help our students in so many ways every day with the support and guidance to make them successful!
Thank you, Argyle ISD Counselors, for your dedication and commitment to our students' success! Superintendent Dr. Courtney Carpenter visited each campus and delivered special gifts for the counselors provided by our Eagle Partners!

Soaring Hearts Program Launches In Honor of Mr. Gibson
As a tribute to AMS Principal Scott Gibson, Argyle ISD has launched the Soaring Hearts program. It is an initiative aimed at supporting students and families in need that are right here in our community. Inspired by Mr. Gibson's giving and compassionate spirit, the program will run as an ongoing monthly donation drive, embracing his commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of students.
Starting this month, the Soaring Hearts program launches with a Hoodie Haul, collecting brand new hoodies, sweatshirts, sweaters and jackets during the month of February to distribute to our Eagles in need. Each month will continue with a different donation item or theme.
Collection boxes are located at each campus in the front entrance vestibule. Please consider supporting this program, embracing our community's commitment to supporting its own, and honoring Scott Gibson's legacy by showing that our community's heart continues to soar.
