Jr. Beta Club News
Hello Parents! Beta Convention and Induction were a success! Fisher placed in 3 events at the convention in January- 1st place science academics, 4th place spelling bee and 5th place recyclable art- this is quite an accomplishment as Beta clubs from middle schools across the state were represented! Induction was also great as we had one of the largest classes of inductees so far here at Fisher. We cannot wait to see what next year brings with these new members. Beta club will be selling candy next week during lunch during the lunch periods as a fundraiser to start raising money for next years convention and supplies that may be needed for next year as well. Here are the remaining meetings for Beta for the 2023-2024 school year:
February 12-- 7:45 New Members ONLY
March 8th-- 7:45 Current 7th and 8th Grade
April 12-- 7:45 Current 7th graders and all new members (Service hrs for current 7th graders due)

School Dance 2/9/24
IMPORTANT! Student ID's
We continue to see a regular flow of students who need to get replacement ID's. There are a growing number of students who are accumulating frighteningly high bills in ID replacement fees. We sent any outstanding fees owed by your Firebird attached to their 2nd Quarter report card. You may also have your student access their Destiny account to see what fees are owed. These fees will follow your student into high school. It is a Greenville County Schools expectation that all students maintain a visible ID at all times during the school day and while they are in attendance at GCS extracurricular events. If your student has fines in excess of $50, they may face school consequences and will not be allowed to attend reward-based activities this spring. Please make this a priority to talk with your student about being responsible with their ID's and work to get any outstanding fees taken care of as soon as possible.
News from Greenville High School
This year, the Rising Raider Showcase at Greenville High will be on February 28, beginning at 6:30pm. This night is focused on helping the next freshman class make a smooth transition from middle school to the Freshman Academy. Go get information about course offerings and registration, meet the faculty, tour the school, and explore what opportunities are available for you to get involved in when you arrive in the fall.

Christian Release Time
On Fridays, Fisher Students now have the opportunity to participate in release time with Christian Learning Centers. Students are bussed to Greenville Tech for a fun Bible class with snacks, games, and more. Students are then brought back to school to resume their school day. This takes the place of a related arts class which students still receive credit for. Students may enroll anytime of the school year. Parents can fill out a consent form at the school front office.
Hoodie Reminder
While we recognize that the colder temps have arrived our building remains climate controlled. Students wearing hooded sweatshirts and jackets are expected to remove their hoodie upon entry into the building. Students may, of course, be in dress code appropriate crew neck sweatshirts or 1/4 zips. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
