Halloween Parade
The Halloween parade will be on Tuesday, October 31st starting at 9:45AM. Parking will be limited. If possible, please consider carpooling. In the event of inclement weather, there will NOT be a parade and parties would begin at 10:15AM. If the parade is canceled the decision will be made by 5:00PM on Monday, the 30th and communicated via email.
The school-wide parade will take place on the back playground. Kindergarten students will lead the parade, followed consecutively by the other grades.
Please use your best judgement in costume selection. Costumes of a violent nature are discouraged. There should be no weapons of any kind brought to school on Halloween.
Halloween Parties
Party donations can be dropped off beginning Monday, October 30th on a table outside the main entrance. Please write the Teacher's Name and Grade on all items.
All party volunteers have been selected. There will be a check-in table with badges outside the front doors on Tuesday for volunteers.
Veterans Day 2023
We would like to invite the family members of our students and staff who have served our country to our Veterans Day celebration. Guests should arrive at 9:00am and will be seated in the gymnasium so that they can be recognized and honored during the assembly. Honorees are then invited for light refreshments following the assembly from around 10:30–11:00am.
If you have a family member that has served in the military and is able to attend on November 10th, please RSVP by Tuesday, November 7th using the Form Link: https://forms.office.com/r/TC1Cwr6aw9
Veterans' Wall of Honor
In order for us to create this wall, we are asking for your participation. In the link below, you will find the paper we will be displaying on our Wall of Honor. Please take the time to engage in a memorable conversation with the veteran and take his/her picture. Return the papers to Groveland by Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 so that we have time to create the Wall of Honor before our Veterans Day assembly. We thank you for your support with this project as Groveland honors all of those who have honored their country.
CB Realignment Plan
In anticipation of the grade level realignment for the 2025-2026 school year, the district extends an open invitation to parents, guardians, students, and community members to provide their questions and feedback here.
We greatly value your input as it plays a vital role in our decision-making process, ensuring that our choices are in the best interest of our entire community. To learn more about this initiative, please visit our website: www.cbsd.org/cbrealign.
Gently Used Spirit Wear
Do you have gently used Groveland spirit wear stuck in the backs of drawers not being used that you’d like to donate to a current Groveland kiddo who may not be able to purchase spirit wear? Groveland’s Home and School Association (GHSA) is starting a collection of clean gently used spirit wear.
Starting in November, a bin will be placed outside door 18 where you can easily drive up and drop your donations off.
Please help us spread the word to past and present Groveland families!

Holiday Giving Project
Leaving Early or Arriving Late?
Whenever students arrive late or leave early, parents must enter the change in the Parent Portal. These incidents are recorded as "excused" or "unexcused" applying the same criteria as those for full-day absences.
To ensure a smooth dismissal for all students, please pick up your child prior to 3:15PM. Calling classrooms to release children during dismissal creates a substantial disruption. Therefore, parents who arrive after 3:15PM may be asked to wait patiently until dismissal ends.
Calling all Volunteers!
To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions.
For more information, open the Human Resources Volunteer Required Paperwork webpage.
