Wow! We are absolutely blown away by your incredible support of our Big Kahuna fundraiser! Thanks to your amazing efforts, we not only met our goal, but exceeded it! This is a huge win for TES and we are so grateful for your participation.
The fundraiser is now officially complete. We're excited to get your orders to you!
Pickup will be on Thursday, March 6th, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
We will be sending out another communication closer to March 6th with more specific details about the pickup process, including location and any other relevant information.

Dress Code
All students must comply with TISD dress code each day at TES. A full description of the dress code can be found in the student handbook (pg. 55), and below are just a few reminders for our students:
- All clothing must adequately cover the body: No short shorts, crop tops, short skirts, etc.
- Hair must be that of a natural color - no pink, blue, green, etc
Students not in compliance with the dress code will be asked to remedy the issue before they are permitted to enter the classroom.
Cell Phone/Smart Watch Policy
We want to take a moment to remind everyone of our school’s policy regarding cell phones and smartwatches. To ensure a focused and productive learning environment, students are not permitted to use cell phones during the school day. These devices should be turned off and kept in their backpacks while on campus. Smartwatches that function as phones (capable of making calls or sending texts) should be treated the same way—turned off and stored in the backpack.
This policy extends throughout the entire school day, including during bus and car line times, as well as dismissal.
Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us reinforce this policy. We will continue to emphasize this message with the students, and your partnership is key to ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Attendance Matters!
When a student is marked absent, the district automatically sends out a notification every evening. If your child missed the full day of school or arrived after the attendance time of 10:10am, without a doctor note, you will receive the automated call for each day missed.
This includes absences for both excused and unexcused reasons.
When your child misses school for a medical appointment, please ask for an excuse note from the doctor’s office. All excuse notes must be received within three days of a student’s return to school. Notes can be sent with your child or emailed to the attendance secretary at amandamartinez@tomballisd.net.
If your child will be absent for an extended period of time due to prolonged illness, injury or surgery, the teacher may prepare practice work to pick up, so your child will be more prepared upon his/her return to school.
How Parents Can Customize Their Child’s Library Experience
We encourage parents to be active partners in their child's reading journey. To customize your child's library experience, you can:
- Access the Library Catalog: Explore the online library catalog to discover books, research materials, and other resources available.
- Track Checked-Out Books: Stay informed about your child's library activity by checking online for book checkout history.
- Customize Book Access: Personalize selection for your child through opting out of library book checkout or book selection restrictions. Contact your librarian for more information.
- Connect with the Librarian: Contact your child's librarian to discuss reading interests, get book recommendations, or inquire about library programs.
By working together, we can foster a love of reading and learning.
