Dear Parents / Carers,
Welcome back! I hope this first week has gone well for you and your children.
It has been lovely to welcome all the new pupils to school and see how smart everyone looks in their school uniforms, but most wonderful of all has been to see the children mixing and playing with friends from other classes. It has certainly been busier and noisier than we have seen school for many months but seeing everyone gathered together for worship has been great!
The children have settled well into new routines and their new classes and we have all been so impressed with the way they have adapted yet again. I know there have been one or two teething problems with bottle necks at classroom doors or the main gate but we are aware of this and are monitoring the situation. Thank you for your patience with this and also with the building work going on in the main playground which should be finished today.
Attached to this newsletter is a message from the Friends of Kirk Fenton about what they do and the date of their EGM on Tuesday next week. The Friends do an amazing job to support the school and pupils and it would be a dreadful shame to lose such a valuable resource. If you are able to get involved please let the committee know or attend the online meeting on Tuesday. The current committee is very willing to support new committee members with the role.
Finally, please could I ask that parents not gather around the main gate when waiting for the older children at the end of the day as this is causing a bottleneck that means people cannot leave the site quickly and easily. Thank you.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams

Welcome back everyone and welcome to all the new children and parents joining Kirk Fenton Primary School! We hope you have all had a lovely summer break.
Before the summer break we held our annual AGM but due to not having the required numbers in attendance, we now need to hold an EGM. We have scheduled this for Tuesday 14th of September at 7:30pm and it will be held via a virtual meet on google meet. Since many of the current committee have been members for many years, we feel that it is time to hand over the baton to others so we are currently looking for new members in order to take Friends forward and to carry on with the important work that the charity does within the school.
If you would be interested in joining Friends or the committee, please come along to the meeting on Tuesday and if you are unable to attend the meeting, then you can email your nominations and interest to friends@kf.starmat.uk
If you would like any more information about what is involved, then please email us or check our Facebook page. Our Facebook page is updated regulatly, so keep an eye on that for updates.
We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday please find enclosed a little bit more information in what is involved in friends and what we can achieve.

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s)
We are anticipating that all* music lessons should be possible in school premises on a face to face basis from September 2021 in line with Government recommendations. Should a school close as a result of a Covid19 outbreak, or are still operating Bubbles meaning that Face to Face lessons are not possible, we will move to online lessons, if possible, via Teams.
Instrumental lesson will commence week commencing 13th September 2021.
* Unless arrangements have been made with you direct to continue lessons online
Attached are the revised tuition and Music Centre fees applicable from September as well as remissions; details of tuition dates; and a reminder of the notice period to stop lessons.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any queries.;
