A Message From Nurse Wendy

National Dental Health Month

February is National Dental Health month. The American Dental Association recommends brushing your teeth for two minutes twice daily with a soft bristled toothbrush. Parents should assist their children with brushing until they are able to spit out excess toothpaste. Parental supervision is helpful until your child can demonstrate correct brushing technique. Using a toothpaste containing fluoride is also recommended. Limiting sugary drinks can help stop the development of cavities. Switching to sugar free gum and flossing regularly are also ways to help keep your teeth healthy.
