• For the month of October, will go to the Church, every Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM to pray the rosary.

Dear Parents,

A friendly reminder that the following is our Morning Drop-Off Procedures.

• No student should be on school grounds before 7:45 a.m. The school is not responsible for students who arrive before the appointed time. There is no A.M. yard supervision offered before this time. All Souls Catholic School offers Extended Care in the morning from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Please enroll your child/ren in this program if early arrival at school is necessary. Once students have been dropped off at school they are not allowed to leave the playground to visit any neighborhood businesses.

• If any students are discovered to have been dropped off prior to 7:45 AM without parent supervision, they will be escorted to Extended Care and families will be invoiced accordingly. This is for the safety of everyone.

Students and parents from the 7th and 8th Grade class participated in the 39th annual California Coastal Clean Up Event on Saturday, September 23rd. The group was organized through Stephanie Patton at the Oyster Point Yatch Club. Students concentrated their efforts around the South San Francisco Marina area and By Trail.

At the end of the event, our student volunteers collected close to 250 pounds of trash! As volunteers pick up trash from California's coast and inland waterways, they also record the amount of and types of trash they find. This data provides policy makers and the public with the information needed to make important decisions. One of the things some of the students noticed was the amount of small broken up styrofoam pieces from the nearby construction sites. A lot of this material can blow into the Bay and can harm various Ecosystems and wildlife.

While we seem to have moved past the worst of COVID-19, we remain vigilant and in the event of an outbreak we still have the All Souls Catholic School Protection Plan from 2022 - 2023 in place. We still however make the following recommendations.

• Everyone should test for COVID - 19 prior to returning to school from all breaks.
• We recommend masking, but at this time it is at your discretion.

Did you know that 39% of All Souls School students are at or above the Archdiocesan benchmark of the 65 Percentile Rank in Reading? For the Archdiocese the 65 Percentile Rank means that students are on track for being college and career ready.

I know that all of us are anxious for the completion of the Church Hall. However, the Church Hall is still under construction and will not abe available for our Fall Festival. Luis, the Head Knight of Columbus has asked that we do not enter the Church Hall for safety reasons.
