Band
"Our 2023 fall show is entitled 'Weather the Storm'. It uses weather as a metaphor for life's every changing experiences. Whether it's marching, jazz, concert band, or color guard we expect the Pride of Ozarks Band Department to be a leadership group in our area and our state."
-Tom Meyer (Band Director)
Cross Country (Girls and Boys)
"The Ambush will consistently show up to meets ready to compete at a high level and face any adversity with courage. The boys team will look to be in the top 5 at conference and districts. The girls team will look to win a conference championship, be top 4 at districts, and a state qualifying team."
- Mitchell Furtkamp (Cross Country Head Coach)
Esports
"We are hoping to go back to the state championship and take first place this year!"
- Ethan Anderson (Esports Head Coach)
FFA
"Students will hit the ground running with competitions. We have one of the largest FFA chapters in the state and look forward to watching the students succeed through the year."
- Jeremy Sisco (FFA Sponsor)
Football
"We are working to establish a program based upon leadership on and off the field as well as ultra-competitive culture on the field. We believe in being 1-0 and winning at anything we are doing, and just focusing on the task at hand to win. Whether it be the classroom, family/social life, the weight room, the locker room, practice, or a game, our goal is to be great and strive to be elite in all we do. Our specific 2023 team overarching goal is to win the COC through these process goals: 1) 3.2 Team GPA, 2) win the turnover margin, 3) win the red zone."
- Jeremy Cordell (Football Head Coach)
Girls Golf
"Our goal is to win conference every year and help bring home the All Girls COC Cup. Our next goal is to try and place in the district tournament that would allow us to qualify for the state tournament at Silo Ridge in Bolivar as a team. As a team, I would like to see continued growth in our development on the golf course."
- Daniel Mullis (Girls Golf Head Coach)
JROTC
"For this year our focus remains determination, hard work, and a relentless pursuit towards excellence!"
- Chief Jason Allen (Head JROTC Sponsor)
Boys Soccer
"We are an experienced team and have expectations of winning conference and districts this season. We want to beat Nixa and retain the Christian County Cup. We plan to have many post season honors for players and are looking to attend our first ever final four."
- Zack Owens (Boys' Soccer Head Coach)
Softball
"Last fall, we were undefeated in the COC and District Champions. We would love to repeat this in our 2023 fall season. It’s something that hasn’t been done to my knowledge in our softball program, but I think our girls can get the job done."
-Jimmy Nimmo (Head Softball Coach)
Boys Swim and Dive
"Last season five swimmers qualified for state with one taking home an honorable mention. We would like to continue to build on the work we did last year, building habits to get better and better in the pool."
- OHS Swim & Dive Team
Girls Tennis
"Our goal is to compete to win our conference and see our top varsity players place in the district tournament."
- Mark McBain (Girls Tennis Head Coach)
Volleyball
"The 2023 volleyball team has high expectations this season with our goal being to win a District Championship. This team is unified and has great team chemistry making them incredibly fun to coach and watch play. Their slogan for this year is “conquer the moment”, meaning that their goal is to live and enjoy each moment with a mindset to win!"
