Hello FUSD Staff and Community,
I hope Spring Break brought you an opportunity to rest, enjoy the company of loved ones, and recharge. Experience has shown that the final weeks of school will be a mix of joy and stress, challenges and successes. My thoughts are with the seniors choosing their next steps in life, the early learners preparing for transitions to come, and everyone in between giving their best effort in the classroom and beyond. I thank each of you for the support you will show our students, staff and each other through the end of this school year.
I look forward to the busy days, events and milestones ahead, and ending this year strong in partnership with each of you.
Fremont’s Earth Day Event
The City of Fremont is hosting the Go Green! Earth Day celebration on April 23. This free event provides our community resources to learn about pollution prevention, water, energy and resource conservation, waste reduction and recycling, alternative transportation, and more.
See the event webpage for more information.
New Websites in 2023-24
We’re excited to announce that FUSD is updating our district and school websites! By July 1, all websites will have a new look and be under a new domain: fremontunified.org.
Look out for more information in the coming months!
2023-24 New Student Enrollment Open Now
Transitional kindergarten (TK), kindergarten, sibling priority and other new student enrollment for the 2023-24 school year is open now at www.fremont.k12.ca.us/enrollment.
FUSD will offer extended day kindergarten starting in the 2023-24 school year. Starting next year, kindergarten start times will match or closely align to the schedule for grades 1-5 at each school, and all elementary schools in FUSD will offer expanded day care to serve students after school hours.
Eligibility for transitional kindergarten is expanding: children who will be 5 years old between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024 can enroll in this free program for 2023-24 to get a head start in school and build their social, communication and independence skills.
If your student is currently attending an FUSD school in grades TK-11, there is no need to re-enroll.
Get Involved in FUSD
We are currently recruiting representatives to serve on various committees. Whether you're a parent, alumni, student, teacher, or simply someone who cares about the future of Fremont, you can help support FUSD and our students by serving on a committee. Learn more.
Thank you all for your continued support for our students, staff and schools.
Sincerely,
CJ Cammack
