Dear Montgomery Families,
On Wednesday, we held the General PTO Meeting @ 9:30am in the Montgomery Elementary Cafeteria. Dr. Debelak presented AIR, MAP, Acadience testing and what they mean to you and your student. This was a fantastic presentation that explained what each of those tests are and how they are used. Click HERE for a recording of the presentation and support materials. There should be playback options for 1.5x, 1.75x speed etc.
We also held a brief discussion about PTO Board positions and fielding possible interest from members who would like to take on leadership roles. The process of selecting board members to vote upon requires selection from a nominating committee. However, only those who express interest (are willing to accept the positions) can be nominated. Please email me if you would like to learn more about the various board positions.

Climate and Culture Survey Coming
Positive school climates are essential for creating the environment, resources, and relationships necessary for children to thrive. Measuring school climate data enables schools to create safe, supportive, and accepting learning environments. As part of our Strategic Plan, Sycamore Community Schools has partnered with the Impact Group to conduct a climate and culture survey for the district.
Saturday Art at DAAP
The Saturday Art Program is an annual community-arts program hosted on campus by the art education program at DAAP. The program provides students grades K-12 with a strong interest in the visual arts with an enrichment opportunity which expands upon curriculum taught by the art teachers in the district.
The program extends six Saturday class sessions, from February 18th to April 1st, and concludes with a final exhibition on April 8th.
