We will most likely have a graduation ceremony that includes RVHS, Susan Nelson High School, and Temecula Valley Adult School--which are all schools on our campus. We'll send you complete details (including cap and gown information) soon!!

I hope that your son/daughter is off to a good start with their academics! Especially for seniors, the next few months will be crucial for them in their efforts to earn their credits and graduate.

As you may recall, one of the best ways for students to earn credits towards graduation is to take advantage of their time in their credit recovery class, which they have daily. Students have one period a day in which they can focus on a class that they have previously taken--but did not pass. The students take these classes online using a program on their IPAD called Edgenuity. They watch videos and have some reading to do. After each section they are asked questions to measure their understanding. At the end they have a unit test. Students can work on their classes during classtime and also at home, but END OF UNIT tests must be taken at school. The bottom line is that students can finish 2-3 extra courses (OR MORE!) on Edgenuity per semester. For most seniors, progress on Edgenuity (and the credit recovery courses that they're taking) will make the difference between graduating and not graduating.

My advice: ask your son/daughter once a week to show you their progress on the Edgenuity/Credit Recovery courses that they're taking. All they have to do is grab their IPAD and go to Edgenuity and show it to you. The Edgenuity program will show you the courses they're taking and the progress that they're making. It will be a good opportunity to encourage your student to continue making progress!

David is new to Rancho, but he has quickly become the talk of the school because of his kindness, respect, and work ethic! He works hard and is not distracted in both STEM and Biology. He is extremely polite and participates in class. Way to go!

FOOD DELIVERY

Students may NOT order food to be delivered to school through Grub Hub, Door Dash, Uber Eats or any food delivery. If a parent brings food in, it must be left with the front office and the student may pick it up during lunch time only.

Teenage years are a critical time when guys and girls make choices that affect the rest of their lives. The empowerment groups provide a safe place where teens can talk about what is really going on in their lives, and a community of mentors and peers who listen, believe in them and help them make better choices. This approach gives teens permission to tell the truth about the challenges all teens face, make their own decisions on how to deal with those challenges, and begin to take responsibility for their choices and the consequences of their actions. It also provided tools needed to navigate through the teen years and transition positively into adulthood.
