Tiger Book Club
Ms. Patorgis has her Tiger Book Club for students up and running. Their first meeting was on Friday, September 9th at 7:45 AM in the Media Center. The students selected one of three books that she presented to the 6th and 7th grade students during their reading or language arts classes. This selection was of the Fairy Tale/Magic genre. The next meeting is on Friday, September 29th at 7:45 in the media center to discuss their books and learn about the next genre. Any student wishing to participate is welcome to attend the meeting. If you have any questions about the book club – please email Ms. Patorgis at patorgis@fultonschools.org.
HOSA Club
Students, if you are interested in a career in the healthcare industry, we have the perfect club for you! Please join the TRMS HOSA Club!
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) has been active since 1976 and offers many opportunities for students. Students will have the opportunity to learn about healthcare professions, develop leadership skills, volunteer for some very worthwhile organizations, and participate in competitions. We will be working closely with the Chattahoochee High School HOSA Club and are already planning some events.
We will meet every other Monday, starting on September 18th. Membership dues will be $25 for the year, and this will cover membership in HOSA and a t-shirt. If you would like to know more about the organization, you can visit www.georgiahosa.org.
The club will be sponsored by Mrs. Kippi Ragan and Dr. Gregg Blotner, who are both 7th Grade Life Science teachers at TRMS.
If you have a career in the healthcare industry and would be willing to come in and talk to our HOSA Club members, we would love to have you come and spend time with us.
If you have questions or need more information, please contact Mrs. Ragan at farragutk@fultonschools.org.
