Tiger Update
Information/Updates about Pickerington High School Central
Message from Mr. Lanier
Tiger Nation
Central kicked off celebrating Black History Month with an incredible BHM student program this past weekend. This organization is student led and had over 130 students participate in the student written; student produced; student directed; and student performed program. A huge thank you to Ms. Kierra Washington, BHM Advisor, for her dedicated work to leading the students throughout the last 6 months as they worked to get ready for the show. BHM performed 2 student shows and 2 shows for the community over the weekend and will close out their run with a show for Ridgeview students on Tuesday.
We have incredible students at Central!!
Let's keep the positive momentum going this week.
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Lanier

PHSC Mock Trial Completes a Successful Year
Mrs. Starkey is the advisor for the PHSC Mock Trial Club.
The PHSC Mock Trial team participated January 26 in this year's OCLRE Mock Trial competition. The Tigers were assigned to the Licking County district where their hard work was on full display. The Mock Trial competition challenges students to analyze a legal question and then prepare legal arguments for both sides of the question. Students assume the roles of Attorneys and Witnesses as they compete against students from other high schools in the area. It is a dynamic program that provides students with an authentic experience in the justice system. Many current and future legal professionals got their start in this program across the state.

Zap Team is in Need of more Tutors
Check out this video that features the great work of our student tutoring program called the Zap team. We have a dedicated team of students who have gotten this program off the ground...they would love to get more help in the form of more student volunteers. Please consider giving some time to help your fellow Tigers!!
