Notes from Principal Savage
Hello, Families!
It is hard to believe we ushered in 2024 over break. It feels like the dust is just settling from the start of the school year! I hope your winter break was restful and provided quality time with family and friends.
I realize that our opportunities for social interaction have been lacking to say the least. An obstacle we are facing is the lack of man-power needed to help plan and organize events for our students. If this is something you might be interested in helping us with, please let us know! We want to provide more opportunities for clubs and activities for our students at all grade levels. If you have ideas or can lend a hand, I want to hear about it!
Your patience with the autodial attendance system is very much appreciated. Because attendance is recorded differently than other schools, IT has had to find some create work-arounds for implementing the notification system at MOA. If you received an autodial call, it was reflective of your student missing any class period, even if their daily attendance was recorded as positive. We currently have the system turned off while programers continue to try and find the right solution. Thank you for hanging in there.
In the coming weeks, please look for communication regarding the following items: Youth Truth Survey, iRead Assessments, OSAS Assessments, Test-for-Credit opportunities, and academic standing notifications.
Thank you for all you do to support your student’s education!
Ms. Natosha Savage

Imagine Learning Social Studies
Most high school students have a 0 Period Social Studies class on their schedule and on Canvas. All students should have an account set up, and can get to work on this course. You will receive emails from the Imagine Learning teacher, and they will be managing your course and grading your work. This class does not have a live Zoom, but you should still work on it daily to stay on track.
Can’t log in? Call our office or email eva.bartlett@medford.k12.or.us for assistance.
Did You Know: Work Experience Credit
Do you have a job? Do you need some extra elective credits? Great news! You can get elective credit just for working! Check out the handout below to find out how to take advantage of this opportunity!
