Welcome new students and welcome back returning students!

Registration/Back to School.

The Back to School Online Process will be made available August 1st through Skyward Family Access. If you don’t have or don’t know your Skyward Family Access login and password (not your student’s account), please go to:

Click on “Forgot your Login/Password?” and follow the prompts.

This process needs to be completed by Friday, August 25th in order for your child’s schedule to be made available on Monday, August 28th.

Only the Parents/Guardians listed as Family 1 can complete the online process and they must use their Family Access logins/passwords.
The Family 2 guardians may request updates to their own information and view student information only.
This process cannot be completed through the Skyward mobile app or using Student Access.

Tips and additional infomation

This process is designed for all currently enrolled South Lyon Community Schools students planning to attend for the 2023-24 school year.
This is NOT to be confused with enrolling a new student.
You need to complete the “Back-to-School Process” in Skyward for each of your children.
Only the Parents/Guardians listed as Family 1 in Skyward can complete the Back to School Process and they must use their Family Access logins/passwords.
The Family 2 guardians may view student information only.
This process CANNOT be completed through the Skyward mobile app or using Student Access.
Classroom teacher assignment will be available on September 1 through Skyward Family Access under the Schedule tab.

School Opening

Millennium Middle School offices will be open beginning August 16th from 8:00 am- 2:00 pm.

Students may visit the school to find their lockers and classrooms on August 28th between 8:00am-2:30pm (closed for lunch 11:30-12:30).

Band Information

Welcome to beginning band!

For all the students that are joining the beginning band this year it is strongly encouraged that you attend the upcoming instrument fitting. At this event beginning band students can try all the instruments and make their final selections. Many students have already tried instruments in their 5th grade classrooms, but this summer event will give students even more time to make their choice and be placed into their band classes. Students are welcome to change the instrument they originally selected, and most do after getting a chance to try all the instruments.

There are two dates to try instruments:

Tuesday, August 8th from 5-8pm

Tuesday, September 5th from 5-8pm

*Please try to attend this first date if at all possible because it will help keep schedule changes down at the beginning of the year

To keep the instrument fitting events running smoothly we will meet in smaller groups based on last names. There will be a short presentation to start each time slot below and then students will be asked to try the instruments. Please note that if you can not make your schedule time slot below, that is ok! Just come by during a time that works for you.

5:00pm: Last names A-I

5:45pm: Last Names J-N

6:30pm: Last Names O-S

7:15pm: Last Names T-Z

Athletics Reminder

All student athletes will need a physical on file with the office or ready to hand in order to tryout.

Immunization Reminder

If you have a student entering 7th grade in September 2023 please make sure their immunizations are up to date before the first day of school on September 6. As of January 2015, school districts can no longer provide immunization waivers. Waiver forms needs to be a certified State of Michigan, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Immunization waiver Form. Schools can only accept the current 2019 State of Michigan waiver form.

Parent/guardians can contact their county health department for more information on certified State of Michigan waivers.

We’re hoping to give families time to schedule any needed immunizations prior to the start of the 2023/2024 school year.
