Hello Washington Families,

Fall is definitely in the air, and we are fully into our routines and deep learning! We continue to focus on "lifting others" and being a welcoming place where everyone feels valued. Unity Day (10/18) will also focus on this (it is a nation-wide anti-bullying day).

Our students have filled the blue ticket jar and earned their first school-wide celebration (see details below)!

I usually include some questions you could ask your students to make a connection between home and school.

*How do you lift others or help them to feel they belong at school?

*What did you play at recess today? (We are loving our new playgrounds!)

*Have you earned any blue tickets lately? How do you earn blue tickets?

We would love for you to join us at our PTO Meeting on Thursday, October 12 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the library! There are many exciting events coming up to start planning! Can't wait to see you on Thursday!

Our students have already filled the blue ticket jar! We will be celebrating with a school wide celebration to the We All Play Playground on Wednesday, October 18th. Students will attend during their specialists block (PE, Music, Art). We are excited to celebrate all the hard work our students have been doing!

October is National Bullying prevention month. On Wednesday, October 18th we will be celebrating Unity Day- a day to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. We are encouraging staff and students to wear orange on this day!

The fall fundraiser pick up date is Tuesday, October 24th from 3:30-5:30 PM. Due to limited freezer space here at Washington, if you aren't able to pick up your items during this time, we ask you to please make other arrangements.

Our lost and found is getting full! Please have your student stop by to see if anything belongs to them. Items will be donated after MEA break.

We still have T-shirts available in the office! Stop in to order one (most sizes available). Tshirts are $9- cash or check!
