Principal's Message

Twas the last day of school before winter break,

How much more could the teachers and students take?

A MAP assessment here and MAP assessment there,

with 50 - 60 degrees that warmed the air.

The students were restless and ready to go,

But alas with the temperatures there was no snow.

What would the kids do over the holidays?

You guessed it, drive their parents into a craze!

11 days with no school?

The parents cried whatever will we do!

The adults thought reading, writing, arithmetic?

Not a chance, as the remote went click, click, click.

We hope the kids will take time to play,

And enjoy every moment of their day.

This is a time to enjoy family and friends,

until the winter break officially ends.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year,

Come January 4th we will be back in high gear!

Story Time with the Principals

Today, we continued our annual tradition of reading stories to our students. This year we selected the books "No Two Alike" and "Our Favorite Day of the Year". Both stories tie into our theme this year ~ All are Welcome - Many Identities, One School. After listening to the stories, the students made cards that will be distributed to Wheeling Townships Meals on Wheels recipients.
