KEY NEWS FOR EXPLORER FAMILIES
This evening has been circled on calendars for a long time! We can’t wait to have fun at the PTA Bingo event! Hope to see you there for BINGO action and silent auction fun! A quick reminder that this is a family event; all students will need parent/guardian supervision. Check-in will take place in the back by the gym door 10.
I just learned that two years ago Northwood parents got to near 80% on the annual State of Georgia School Perception Survey! Last year parent participation was down to 24% and we’re currently only at 3% for this year.
The window is open, and we have been challenged to get to 50% for parent participation. I’m competitive so I’d certainly love to surpass that goal. Please take a moment now, I promise it doesn’t take long to complete the state survey. The survey will remain open through Friday, March 15. You can access the link here or by clicking the link: https://www.fultonschools.org/annualparentsurvey .
As a reminder, students in grades 3, 4, & 5 will participate in the student version of the survey next week (the week of February 26th-March 1). If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, please email your child’s homeroom teacher this afternoon by 3:00 pm.
Have a wonderful weekend!
With gratitude,
Heather Rucker
TAG EXPLORERS
In connection with their unit, "What’s the Matter in the Kitchen?” the 2nd grade TAG students learned the science behind pickle making. They used their senses to figure out the many ingredients involved and then worked together to make their own jar of dill pickles. They are looking forward to tasting and enjoying their hard work during their next day in TAG!
NORTHWOOD HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION

For information regarding the FITNESSGRAM assessment, please refer to www.fitnessgram.net or email Mr. Pearch at pearchm@fultonschools.org.

Students may return to school after their symptoms have improved and they have been fever free without medicine for 24 hours. The 24-hour rule also applies to vomiting and diarrhea.
