Canvas Grade Book in the Spotlight!
Hiding Grade Distribution Graphs From Students
By default, Canvas allows your students to see where they fall on all course assignments and compare their score with other students scores in the course. You can disable this feature if you have a small class or do not want your students to see the grade distribution. Learn more at http://tinyurl.com/j3cze7e
Mute/Unmute an Assignment
Muting an assignment in the Canvas grade book allows you to grade all the student's assignments and release the grades at once. When you mute the assignment you can grade at different times and not receive student emails asking why his or hers is still not graded. Learn more at http://tinyurl.com/h2vymew
Creating a Grade Column for Participation and Paper Submissions
Columns in the Grade book can only be created using the assignment tool, but there may be times you want to add a column for course participation or for items that do not have submission criteria attached.
