PTO meeting highlights
Each month we are thankful for group of parents and staff who come together for the sole purpose of supporting our Ridgeview Community! They plan fun events like our recent Movie Night, raise funds to support educational events such as field trips and provide resources to meet the needs within our school and classrooms.
They are also a connection between what is happening in our schools and the home. This is something that has been sorely missed during the pandemic.
Want to find out more? What to learn what is happening? There are so many ways to be involved, behind the scenes supporting an event, planning teams, bringing your ideas and voice to our PTO meetings, or even become part of the PTO leadership team. We would love to have you in any capacity works with you and your family!
Come to our next meeting on: Feb. 7th ag 6:00 in the Ridgeview Library.
We meet the 1st Tuesday at 6:00 each month. See you there!
Here are few highlight from our last meeting:
- Movie Night Update: Thank you for all the fantastic volunteers! What a fun community event. The goal was time together which we accomplished! PAPA’s Pizza Fundraiser update: Unlike out movie night this is a fundraising activity and I am thankful for everyone who contributed. Planning, sales, and let not forget, those who bought coupons and spent money on pizza all for the benefit of Ridgeview. - Thank you! These resources will be very help in providing supplemental reading materials, classroom supplies, field trips and more!
Teacher’s NIght = $1,751.16
Papa’s Pizza Coupons = $5097
Notes: We will be moving this event back to the spring time for the 23/24 school year as to not conflict with fall sports fundraising.

Parent Parking and Student Drop Off
Parents,
We need your help! We are having some challenges in the morning in our Staff Parking Lot, as it has started being used as a parent drop off and pick up location by our wonderful families. I understand that parking is limited at Ridgeview and we are so thankful for your support, cooperation and patience when coming to the school to drop off and pick up your students.
We are also very thankful for our friends at the Church of the Latter Day Saints who graciously let us borrow their parking lot.
Please note: the Staff Parking Lot located on the southeast side of the school is for staff parking only.
Unfortunately it was not designed to be able to handle both staff parking and the traffic needed for a safe drop off and pick up process.
This last week we have had a few safety issues involving people using the parking lot for drop off. We don't want to put anyone at risk to save a minute during drop off!
- Students and Staff having to navigate traffic as they walk from the parking lot. (This parking lot does not have the sidewalks and crosswalks necessary to be a student drop-off zone.)
- Cars traveling both directions around the loop causing traffic jams and dangerous blind spots.
- Cars parked in NO PARKING loading zones.
- A staff member had their car hit by a someone leaving considerable damage! They unfortunately left without leaving any information. (please report any information about this to the office so we can repair the situation, pun intended)
At the beginning of the year we were doing a really great as a community of using the two available options:
- Park along the street
- Park in the parking lot across the street.
We need to go back to this practice. Please plan accordingly for the 2-3 extra minutes you will need to park and walk your student if you have been using the staff parking lot, whether for; breakfast, orchestra or simply coming to school drop off.
Please review the map provided. This is the same map we provided at the beginning of this year.
Thank you for helping keeping our drop off and pick up processes, safe for everyone!
