January is Board Appreciation Month, and I am privileged to work with seven very dedicated community members. Each board member brings a different connection to the Panther Community, and they all have a heart for students. This group works together as a high-functioning team to fulfill the Vision of Liberty Hill ISD, which is Building Champions in Academics, Character, and Community. This group not only provides governance to the schools, departments, and policies of the district, they think globally about the future of the district. They also go above and beyond with campus volunteer work and the support of the Panther students, staff, and community.

At the January Board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the instructional calendar for the next school year. The calendar is a product of input from teachers, staff, and parents. We want to thank 1,700 families that responded to our outline survey and gave input on the calendar.

• Enrollment. Current enrollment is 7,951
• Financial Report. This report includes updates on tax collection, investments, expenditures, amendments, purchases over $50,000, donations, child nutrition services, donations, and a bond status report.
• Adjunct Faculty Agreement with AgriLife Extension-Williamson County and Resolution for Extracurricular Status of 4-H Members

Action Items

• The Board approved the 2021-2022 Annual Financial Report of Liberty Hill ISD as presented by Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP. Proud to report that LHISD received a clean audit with zero findings!
• The Board approved the 2023-2024 Academic Calendar
• The Board approved the purchase of Additional Repeaters and Portable Radios for District Radio Communications to be funded by the 2021 Bond program
• The Board approved the purchase of the Lariat land tract (approx. 13.27 acres) funded by the 2021 Bond program

Personnel Actions

• The Board accepted resignations and approved new personnel as presented
