Ivy Hill Spirit Days - 2023
Each year Ivy Hill celebrates with designated Spirit Days. This is a fun time for our students to show their school spirit in a creative way! Here are the dates and themes for this years Spirit Days!

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL AT IVY HILL SCHOOL
Please be attentive and follow the guidance of our staff members during student drop off and pick up. They will be directing traffic, helping children exit cars and ensuring the safely of our students.
Per Illinois State Law, CELL PHONE USE IN PROHIBITED IN SCHOOL ZONES! If we see a problem, we will track license plates and ask for support from the Arlington Heights Police Department.
MORNING ARRIVAL/DROP OFF:
- Pull into the parking lot entrance - students should gather backpacks at this time
- Keep the street/parking lot intersections clear. Keep the sidewalk and crosswalks clear.
- Students may only exit cars once they enter the "Drop Off Zone" designated by orange cones in our parking lot.
- Once you enter the "Drop Off Zone" you MUST stay in line. Proceed forward after all students in the drop off area have exited their cars. DO NOT PASS OTHER CARS IN LINE. If you need to help your child, please enter a designated parking space in the parking lot.
- STUDENTS MUST EXIT FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE ONLY - ADULTS MUST REMAIN IN THE VEHICLE.
- Right Turn Only from the parking lot from 8:30AM - 9:30AM
- Students riding the buses will be dropped off in the rear of the school. Staff members will be there to assist them.
AFTERNOON PICK UP:
- Students in grades 1-5 will exit the school through the front doors. Kindergarten will exit through the kindergarten doors and students riding the buses will exit through the back doors. Supervisors will be on hand to assist all students.
- When arriving at the school, please yield at the 3 way stop (Burke Dr and Ivy Lane) and keep the street/parking lot intersections clear. The sidewalks and crosswalks must remain clear as well.
- Pull into the parking lot using the Burke/Ivy Entrance only
- Cars cannot be in the fire lane, yellow striped area or park on the end caps (see the map)
- Cars in the right lane waiting to pick up children should pull up as far as the main entrance crosswalk.
- STUDENTS MUST ENTER FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE ONLY. ADULTS MUST STAY IN THE VEHICLE.
- If students are meeting their parents in the parking lot, they should only use the main crosswalks. They should wait for an adult to tell them it is ok to cross.
- Please follow the car in front of you to keep the line moving. If you don't see your child, please pull into a parking spot.
- Once you have picked up your child, please exit the parking lot if it is safe to do so. Please look both ways and be mindful of the students.
- There is a Right Turn Only out of the parking lot from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
- Do not use the back parking lot to pick up your children - that is for buses only

Ivy Hill is lucky to have two of D25's best working in our kitchen this year - Lucy Wisinski and Gloria Hester. You can notify them at IvyHillfs@sd25.org with any food service related questions.
Breakfast will be served at 8:45 each morning - the cost is $1.75. If your child rides the bus, have them come directly to the commons when they arrive at school.
Lunch schedules change each week. The menu is available on our website.
The cost for lunch is $3.25.
The easiest way to pay for breakfast and lunch to set up an account at MyMealTime.com. Check your child's teacher placement letter (upper left hand corner) or call the office for your child's student ID number. You can also send cash. Please put the cash in an envelope with your child's name on it.
