Nora Iniesta beat out 30 other competitors and placed 6th in Program Oral Interp. Audrey Shea beat out 17 other competitors and got 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation! In her last tournament of her senior year, Audrey Shea has successfully and frequently championed in her main event, dramatic interpretation, all throughout the speech and debate season! Way to Rise Up Tigers! Congratulations Ms. Raley and Ms. Brice!
The CPHS Debate team hosted the annual Seven Lakes/ Cy-Park swing tournament this past weekend. As one of the last TFA qualifying tournaments of the year the competition was fierce and there was an incredible turnout! Our varsity tigers and novice cubs showed excellent hospitality and service. Additionally, two of our tigers competed and placed on the Seven lakes side of the tournament. In prose, Camila Araujo Nolasco placed 3rd. In Program Oral Interpretation, Nora Iniesta placed 5th earning her the last two points she needed to qualify for the TFA state tournament in March. Thank you, Ms. Raley and Ms. Brice for supporting our Tigers!
Girls Basketball Year End Review
The Varsity and JV showed resilience throughout the year as various hurdles were presented throughout the season which were extremely challenging. However, through all of this, the teams continued to fight and never quit. The tremendous upside is that Varsity will return the majority of the athletes next year, this team will be one to reckon with.
The Freshman team finished 3rd in district standing with a 11-3 district record and 20-5 overall record. That is the highest district finish and the best overall record ever for the program, and this paints a very bright picture for a bright future for Cy Park girls basketball.
In the classroom, as a program we excelled, meeting the district expectations with a failure rate lower than 2%, and almost half of the program earning A/B honor roll.
Congratulations Coach Oliver, Coach A. Harris, and Coach Johnson!

Process to conduct research in CFISD
Many of you are participating in university programs or Region IV course to attain a principal or counselor certificate. Sometimes there is course work involved in their programming that asks them to conduct surveys, questionnaires, etc. We have district procedures that we must follow before conducting surveys, questionnaires, research of any kind, etc. with students or staff.
Before you conduct this type of data collection you must meet with Mr. Hecker and seek District approval. Parent permission must be acquired before students can participate in any outside survey or questionnaires. If you have any questions regarding district permission to conduct research of any kind with students, please contact Ashley Clayburn.
Deadline Today!!!
