OAC will be celebrating Valentine's Day with a dance party hosted by our P.E. Department and the classes of Packard, Mesbergan and VanderZowen.

It is important that all students attend school on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 for their attendance to be recorded. If a child is sick or unable to attend, families are reminded to call the school’s main office and report the absence. A student can still be counted if the student has an absence and attends within 10 calendar days(following count day).

Plan ahead to meet with CMH at OAC - CMH is at OAC every third Wednesday when we are in session.

The Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park will be hosting a free Accessibility Open House on February 27th from 1-7 pm. This is an opportunity to try sports like ice skating, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and luge. This event will showcase offerings and adaptive equipment giving participants and their families the opportunity to try each activity. There is no cost to participate in the event, the staff just ask for an RSVP in advance to let them know you will be coming. This website will also contain the RSVP and Luge waiver links soon. This open house is available to individuals with any disability and their families, please share as you see fit. Staff at the Luge Park have shared that if there is good turnout this event will be available every year.

School Cancellations

Please refer to the handbook provided to you by Dean Transportation. If you do not have a handbook, please call Dean at 616-738-4300.

Local School Cancellations

If your local school district is closed due to inclement weather, Dean Transportation will not transport students in your district. The OAC will operate even when several districts in our boundaries are closed. Notification of OAC closures will be communicated by Infinite Campus messenger, phone and text messaging.
