Ongoing Projects
Character Mail: Continue to write your K-4 buddy for the year. If you need a buddy, let Mrs. Smith know.
Care Bags: Begin bringing in mini lotions, chap stick, nail file, word find and crossword books (large print if available), note cards etc.
Crochet: blankets or animals for NICU in Monroe or lap blankets for Council on Aging
Notecards: If you don't crochet, you can write notes to go with the packages.
Quilt: We will begin our quilting project in September. Don't worry...it's easier than crocheting and MeMe will teach you. The quilt will be raffled off by a Rotary Club in Arizona.
Alliance for Children
Contact Linda Smith to arrange volunteer hours. She has office type work involving sorting and labeling books. Mrs. Smith is a Rotarian.
What is Interact?
Interact clubs bring together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.
Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.
