Hard to believe the first semester is almost over! We have enjoyed immensely the parent support and involvement in the start of the school year! October is the time of student council elections and Parent-Teacher conferences. Students continue to impress with their desire to get involved in the school. We look forward to connecting with all of you celebrating student progress and charting a future course of success with your children!

5th/6th Basketball - T/TH 2:50 - 4:00pm - Coach Sean Joslyn

3rd-6th Chess Club - 1 day / week (looking for a coach)

5th/6th Dungeons and Dragons Club - dates TBD - 2:50 - 4:00pm - Coaches Ms. Ross + Mr. Crowl

Forms will available on Friday October 7th. Activities do fill up fast and space is limited. Basketball will be capped at 25 students for 3/4th and 25 students for 5/6th. FCFS.

If you would like to coach chess, please contact the office ASAP!

6th graders read multiple stories with 3rd graders and supported them in the skill of comparing and contrasting.

Thanks parents for joining us for Lunch and Recess. This will be a monthly invite on the last Friday of each Month. October 21st will be the next Lunch and Play. Come anytime between 11:20 - 12:20 to each lunch and/or play at recess.

A positive outcome during these last couple years was that there was hardly any lice going around. Well, life is pretty much back to normal and lice is making a comeback.

It is a good idea to check your child’s head for lice on a weekly basis. Good lighting is the key to finding those pesky bugs. If you think your child may have lice and would like another set of eyes to look, let me know. I will follow up with your child and let you know what I do or do not see.
