From the Desk of Mrs. Beers
I am happy to be back at Elm Road after spending some time at home with my daughter! A huge thank you to Mrs. Alwine for assisting Elm during my absence.
During the month of February we partner with the American Heart Association with the Kid's Heart Challenge. Students are working to hit our school goal of $15,000 for the American Heart Association. We are well on our way to our goal! Thank you to all families who have helped us reach toward our goal!
In March our 2nd grade and 3rd grade students will participate in state wide testing, IREAD. The IREAD window is March 4-15. At Elm Road, students will test during that first week, and we will conduct make up testing during the second week of the window. If your child is in 2nd or 3rd grade we ask that you not schedule any appointments during the week of March 4, as attendance is vital. The week of April 15th, the ILEARN window opens for state testing. Students in grades 3-5 will participate in ILEARN throughout the month of April.

Lost and Found Update
Lost and Found Items
Our Lost and Found has frequently been overflowing. In an effort to keep this more manageable to house, and sort through, we will be donating the items on the first Tuesday of every month. We are hoping this will assist your child(ren) with finding their items more easily. The first donation will not be until March 5th, 2024. If you believe your child has lost something please remind your child to look for it or you can come into the school between the hours of 7:30-3:30. Also, please consider writing names or initials on the tags, staff do go through the items and will deliver the named items to the students before giving the items away for donation. We appreciate your understanding and support with this process. Thank you!
