Wahoo! Summer vacation has arrived!
I hope you all have a wonderful summer planned that has both relaxation as well as time with family and friends. I would love to hear about and see your adventures! Please don't hesitate to share them with me (bess.colpron@hocksd.org). I would love to feature family/student adventures or experiences on our Facebook or Instagram page this summer. (A double plus if you are wearing HMS or HSD gear in the photo!)
I am looking forward to spending time with my family and my adorable dog, traveling to Montana, a wedding, as well as a few trips to the beach. There is a task list to complete this summer too. I also need to organize my closets, drawers and cabinets, watch and "help" my husband build us a new deck, and clean out the dreaded garage.
With all of that said, I am over the moon excited to be the new principal at HMS for the 2023-2024 school year! I feel incredibly lucky to be trusted with this opportunity and I am looking forward to collaborating and working with all of you. We are going to accomplish great things with our amazing community.
I would like to invite you all to join me at two exciting summer events our PWT has planned for our school. The first one is a fundraiser for the library and will be held on July 29th at the Barnes and Nobel in Vancouver. The second event is a fundraiser for the 8th grade committee. Please join me in watching a baseball game where the Raptors play the Walla Walla Sweets on August 3rd at 6:35pm. More information can be found on the fliers posted below.
