Calling Parent Volunteers to Serve in the Coleman Media Center:
Our Coleman Media Center Specialist, Shelley Winkler, would like parent or grandparent volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays to help with reshelving books, checking in and checking out books, and helping with tasks, such as bulletin boards, book cataloging, book weeding, and laminating. MIDDLE SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST OPPORTUNITY:
The 21st annual Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Middle School Essay Contest is now open. Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in Bartow, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale counties are invited to participate in the annual essay contest. For question, concerns, and dispatch services about buses, call transportation: 770-513-6686.
- Parents please be advised that during morning drop off and dismissal, Coleman Middle School will provide student supervision while students are on school property only.
- No students should be dropped off and/or picked up on any of the immediate streets surrounding Coleman.
- Riding with parents or the bus ensures a safe and secure arrival and dismissal for students at Coleman Middle each day.
- We do not provide supervision once students are off campus.

The School Nutrition Program will now transition to pre-pandemic operations. Meals are no longer available at no charge to all students.

On August 18, 2022 the Gwinnett County Board approved Policy JCDI - Board's Theory of Action for Change to Improve Student Behavior and Outcomes. You can use this LINK to review the new JCDI policy.
To accommodate the new tenants of Policy JCDI, a new Parent & Student Handbook has been released. You can find the new 2022-2023 GCPS Student Conduct Behavior Code and 2022-2023 GCPS Handbook for Students and Families on this LINK.
