News From the Nest
Week of October 10 - October 14
Dear Falcon Families,
We had a great night with family and friends at our annual Gator Shower last week! Thank you to Mrs. Roberts for organizing the event and to the APS Student Government volunteers. Gatorland, Orange County Library System, the Everglades Foundation, and Crayola Experience provided fun activities for our students. A big thanks to our wonderful PTSA and our teachers and families for the Gifts from the Heart success!
We begin the second marking period this Monday and have a busy week ahead. Remember that there is NO early dismissal this Wednesday, October 12. All students will be released at 3:00pm. Please be sure to check out our upcoming events below.
Mark your calendars for Monday, October 17! We will be live on Zoom sharing the 5 things every Falcon family needs to know for the year. More details and Zoom link below.

National Walk & Roll to School Day is Wednesday Oct. 12th
Plan ahead and get out the door earlier on Wednesday, October 12, and walk or roll to school! The weather is perfect! Encourage your friends, family, neighbors, and classmates to join the movement. If you usually drop off in car line, please consider walking or rolling with your child. Kids that ride a bus and in extended day have the option to take a lap(s) around the track starting at 8am. The track will also be open right after school to walk, bike, or roll. No electric scooters. Helmets must be worn.
Too far to walk or roll the entire distance? Drive and park at one of the remote parking locations:
1) Audubon Park Covenant Church- 3219 Chelsea St. and
2) ABC Fine Wine & Spirits 1855 E. Winter Park Rd. (parking available at both locations, but only in the morning at ABC).
Or park at a friend or classmate’s house and walk or roll with them!
