Attention seniors!!
If you are going to college after graduation, you should plan to attend MEFA's "After the Acceptance Seminar" on Monday, March 25th. An experienced MEFA representative will provide an overview of the college payment process, including the details of financial aid award letters, using payment plans, different financing options, and how to minimize debt. The seminar is scheduled to run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Plymouth North High School. We hope to see you there.

School Committee Tour
School Committee members joined our EDTV Kids on a tour of the school this week in preparation for the CSES annual school update. Students spoke very well; guiding school committee members throughout the building, visiting classrooms, and sharing what makes Cold Spring a fantastic place to learn!

Boosterthon Glow Run
Students at FFES enjoyed our Boosterthon Glow Run this week. Kindergarten through grade 5 completed anywhere from 30-35 laps around a darkened gym, complete with glow sticks, motivating music, and a giant blow up tunnel. After a week of fundraising, we exceeded our goal thanks to the support of family and friends. The money raised will be used to update our playground among other exciting projects.

Southwick's Zoomobile
Thanks to our PTA, Southwick's Zoo brought their Zoomobile to IBES! This program includes an animal handler and a presenter who will provide a general introduction to the subject of animal ecology. We will explore topics such as traits used to classify different animals into groups like birds, reptiles, and mammals; types of interactions between animal groups; how animals interact with their environment.
the trek of the Iditarod
Jill Duggan's Class is working on a special project where they pick a racer to follow on the trek of the Iditarod. One resource is a book by famous Iditarod champion Susan Butcher who is quoted as saying. "I do not know the word ‘quit.’ Either I never did, or I have somehow abolished it."

PCIS Babysitting Club
Congratulations to the PCIS Babysitting Club for completing the Massachusetts 4-H Babysitting course. This course was offered as an after school club at PCIS and taught by Mrs.Tammy Cruz. Isabella Marshall, Mackenzie Alves, Audrey Murphy, Aniyah Adames, Abigail Hall, Leila Coady & Kaylenn Delman earned their certification from the Massachusetts 4-H Babysitter's Course. This week, the Babysitting Club spent the afternoon with the students from PECC training for their future jobs. Mrs. Cruz and PCIS are extremely proud of these students and their dedication.

Engineering Design
Sixth-grade students built scribblers. Made from material found in the room, the self-propelled scribbler left a trail of colorful marks on the paper. Groups were testing their prototypes, working on packaging, or marketing their product through posters and videos.

DECA States Recap
PNHS fielded 76 competitors. There were over 3,000 students from high schools all over Massachusetts. Out of 76 students, 32 made the stage and were honored in top ten. The 19 winners placed first through fifth and will go on to represent PNHS in Orlando at the end of April. Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work.

Civics Cup
Students from Plymouth North won the League of Women Voters Civics Cup! Seven area schools participated in the 5th annual Civics Bee on Sunday, March 10 held at PCIS and hosted by the Plymouth League of Women Voters. This is the 4th time in the 5 years that North has won the cup! Congratulations to the following students: Nicholas Bodie, Aiden Campbell, Cole Gustin and Muhammad Aseef Imran
Pulsera Project
Plymouth North High School is participating in its second annual Pulsera Project. Student volunteers from Spanish classes have been selling hand-woven bracelets made by artisans in Nicaragua and Guatemala. All of the proceeds go towards providing housing, healthcare, clean water, scholarships, and other social empowerment programs for the artisans that made the bracelets. Last year, North raised over $1,000 for this amazing cause! Help us beat our record and show your support by purchasing a Pulsera at all lunches from March 11-March 22.
NHS Model UN
Students from North attended the annual National High School Model United Nations conference in New York from March 6-9. They represented the Dominican Republic and Russia in simulations of various UN committees. While in New York, students also visited the 9/11 Museum & Memorial, Wall Street, the Rockefeller Center, and Times Square.

PLYMOUTH SOUTH HONORS BREAKFAST
On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week all Honor students and their families were honored at an assembly. They were first entertained by South Avenue, our Acapella group. Each day was a different speaker, then light refreshments were enjoyed in the cafeteria.
