Falcon Flyer
Belong. Inspire. Grow.
Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families-
The Falcon Flyer is back this week! Mrs. Tessa Johnston is our Editor in Chief of the Falcon Flyer and we haven’t trained her back-up yet. When she’s unavailable our communication slows a bit. Great to have her back!
Two weeks into the new year and things are going well. Wanted parents to know that we are acutely aware of student absences and such throughout the semester and as we near the end. We are making accommodations for assignments and grading when students are out sick or forced to stay home due to Covid restrictions. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
Today was a good day. We canceled the all-school MLK assembly, but we enjoyed an awesome video produced by RHS Junior, Ryan Sutter. The video featured about 15 or so of his classmates as well. Then the Ridgeline Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Parker, did an amazing MLK tribute performance for students and staff during both lunches. The kids were great, they dressed in their concert black attire and everything- very professional!
You’ll also see the great news in today’s Flyer about our musical theater opportunity for students! A special thanks to Mindy Hymas and Chantel Giblette, our new coaches, for giving of their time for this opportunity. I thought they were crazy as a performance like this typically is planned over the course of 6-12 months, they’re squeezing it into three! Then I broke the news to them that we haven’t purchased any supplies yet for the theater scene shop or other supplies they will need. But, they agreed to do it anyways!
We, the staff, and faculty of Ridgeline High School appreciate the support and understanding we receive from parents and the community. Thank you! --Mr. Hardt

Corinne Westby received an "All-State Honorable Mention" for the ENTIRE state of Washington
Our very own Corinne Westby received an "All-State Honorable Mention" for the ENTIRE state of Washington which is not only a big deal but is extra special since our team did not make a state appearance this season. Congratulations to Corinne on receiving state recognition for her hard work and skill set!

Through the Diversity Club and art class, Quinn Troye has been working on a multimedia painting of Martin Luther King for our Friday assembly. She did a great job combining oil pastels, acrylic paints and even some fabric to create this amazing portrait.

Shop / Tech supervisor
Shop / Tech supervisor
If you or someone you know has basic building experience, we are looking for someone who can help build sets for the theater department! As shop director, you would be responsible for overseeing the students in the shop, and giving them building assignments. Set design would be a collaborative effort with the director, producer, and shop supervisor.
