Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you all for your patience and kindness as we got the new school year up and running! This year, our students adjusted so quickly to their new classrooms and our TBE rules and procedures! Sometimes I have to be reminded that it is only the 16th day of school! I am beyond proud of our students and all their hard work!

Our TBE Curriculum Night has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 5th. We appreciate your flexibility with this date change. Our students in 3rd-5th grade should attend, as they will be the leaders of their own Curriculum Night! Our Kinder, 1st and 2nd Grade students do not have to attend, their teacher will be presenting information in their classrooms. Whether your child is in a primary or intermediate grade, all are welcome to come! We look forward to seeing you on campus that evening.

State testing has begun in all classrooms. Students in K-5th grade have participated in both the ELA and Math FAST PM1 Assessments. Our students also took their first iReady Diagnostic Assessment this past week. These assessments give our teachers great information that they then use to support instruction in the classroom.

The month of September will bring many new and exciting school activities! We look forward to our students beginning Leadership Clubs on Friday, September 8th. Ask your child which club they are in and what their club mission statement is. Also, Leadership roles have begun, both in and outside of the classroom! Ask your child if he/she has applied for any roles on our leadership board. There are always several opportunities for students to lead across campus- we look forward to seeing them share their genius!

Here are some notes on Campus Security:

· IMPORTANT: If you are visiting the school and need to come into the front office to pick up your child, please be sure to utilize the Doorbell system outside the front doors. DO NOT let other parents/visitors in with you. Each person has to be checked in via the Doorbell system. This allows us to keep our campus as secure as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this.

Picture Day: Picture Day will be Thursday, September 21st. This date has been adjusted (previously September 5th). Look for information from our School Picture Company, Strawbridge to come home in the next few weeks.

In addition, we will begin our monthly Parent Lunches in September. Parent Lunch has been a long-standing tradition that TBE has done for many years. We know that these events are valued by the parents and can create great memories for our students and families.

In saying that, we do have several parameters that we put in place to ensure the events run as smoothly as possible. This year, we have done some adjusting to lunch times. Below is a list of grade level teachers and their lunch times. As you can see, grade levels overlap with times. If you do plan to attend, please be sure to arrive a few minutes before the scheduled time. We are also asking this year to limit the number of attendees to 2 per child.

We separate parent lunches by grade level. The following are dates for the month of September:

Friday, September 15th 3rd-5th Grade

Friday, September 29th K-2nd Grade
