QACPS Central Office Building - Bid Award
The Board approved the construction contract for Base Bid, plus alternates 1, 2 and 3 to Doyle Construction Company to construct the new QACPS Central Office Building. Fiscal Impact: $15,951,401.00 Budget Source: Local Capital Funds
Policy 205 Approval: Use of Technology & Electronics
The Board approved Policy 205 subject to edits for format and style.
Policy 705 Approval: Student Data Governance/Privacy
The Board approved Policy 705 subject to edits for format and style.
Policy 215 Approval: MBE Procedures
The Board approved Policy 215 subject to edits for format and style.
Bay Area Transportation, LLC - New/Used Bus Purchase
The Board approved Diana Powers of Bay Area Transportation to purchase a new bus for the 2023-2024 school year to replace bus #1810.
Smart Start Education
The Board approved two contracts with Smart Start Education for a Physics Teacher and high dosage, in-person tutoring. Fiscal Impact: Not to exceed a total of $100,000 Budget Source: Substitute Teacher Budget & KIHS TSI Budget.

COMMUNITY UPDATES

Character Counts is starting the year in need of coaches for 3 classrooms in the County: a 2nd grade class at Centreville Elementary and two Kindergarten classes at Sudlersville Elementary. If you have just a 1/2 hour twice a month, THE STUDENTS NEED YOU!
