2022-2023 Gayman Elementary Awards
We are pleased to announce the 2022-2023 Gayman Awards Ceremony on Thursday, June 8th!
During this celebration, one student shall be recognized for each of the "Gayman 5" character traits. This student will win the 2022-2023 Gayman Elementary Award for either Respect, Responsibility, Kindness, Cooperation, or Perseverance. Students can be nominated by students, parents, or staff members. Nominations are due by May 30th.

To volunteer or chaperone, your clearances must be up-to-date.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. Laptop Summer Collection
The Technology and Innovation Department is preparing to collect all devices from students in grade 6. Students in grades 3-5 will keep their device over the summer.
*Note: The Technology and Innovation Department will work with buildings to re-deploy devices to students entering 7th and 10th grade in August 2023.
Return Information:
- Laptop collections will occur the week of June 12.
- Please be sure your child is able to locate their device, charger, and pen (if applicable).
- Laptop bags do not need to be returned. Your child will be reusing this bag next year.
- If there are any technical issues with the device, please be sure to place a help desk ticket so we can resolve the issue prior to summer.
Missing Accessories: Please go to MyPayments Plus to pay for items that you lost or damaged while in your possession. Bring a receipt with you to collection as proof of payment.
Move Up Day
Gayman will hold a Move Up Day on Wednesday, June 14th from 9:00-10:00AM.
Students will not be assigned a specific teacher by that date. Instead students will meet all grade level teachers and learn about the highlights of what the 2023-2024 school year will hold for them. Our goal in this activity is to build excitement about the coming year and reduce anxiety for the next school year, as we head into the summer.

Elementary Report Cards
The 3rd Trimester ends on Thursday, June 15th.
Report cards will be posted in the Parent Portal on Monday, June 19th at 1:00PM. Final report cards can be accessed electronically using this LINK.
Required Health Examinations for 2023-2024
Pennsylvania mandates the following health examinations:
- Physicals: School entry (Kindergarten), grades 6 and 11
- Dentals: School entry (Kindergarten), grades 3 and 7
Parents are urged to have physical and dental examinations completed by their family physician or dentist and submitted prior to October 15th of the year that they are due. Send health forms to Sara Hedges, our school nurse, at shedges@cbsd.org.
LAST KIDS CARE CLUB OF THE SCHOOL YEAR! - May 31st
Join us after school on Wednesday, May 31st from 3:30 to 4:45pm when we'll learn about helping wild animals during a visit from Aark Rehabilitation and Education Center, and celebrate a successful year of volunteering with water ice! Attendance is limited and parent volunteers are needed! Please sign up using the link below:
End of the Year Family Picnic - June 2nd @ 6pm
The GHSA is excited to host the End of the Year Family Picnic! We had over 350 people RSVP to attend on Friday, June 2nd from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on the Gayman Playground. Please remember to bring a blanket or beach chair!
GHSA will provide Hotdogs and Cotton Candy! Please click HERE to donate towards the picnic. And there will be music by DJ Pete! We can't wait to see you and celebrate a great year!

Gayman Home & School Association would like to extend a THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered this year. If you were a homeroom parent, a chair of a committee, a member of a committee, volunteered to donate an item, volunteered to help at an event, or helped in any other way we want to THANK YOU! GHSA events are only possible with parent volunteer support.
