Green Ribbon Award

Queen Anne’s County Public Schools has been recognized as a 2023 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School for innovative efforts to reduce environmental impact and costs, promote better health, and ensure effective sustainability and environmental education. QACPS was nominated for this award by the Maryland Department of Education.

Drs. Sprankle and Kibler discussed the Gender Gap Memo received from the Institute of Education Sciences with the Board.

QACHS FFA Overnight Field Trip

The Board approved up to 15 Queen Anne's County High School FFA students to travel to Indianapolis, Indiana for the National FFA Convention.

Contract Approval - SHC - Speech Therapy

The Board approved the Supplemental Health Care contract for Speech Therapy services.

Contract Approval - EBaer SLP, LLC - Speech Therapy

The Board approved the contract with EBaer SLP, LLC for Speech Therapy services.

Contract Approval - Sunbelt - Speech Therapy

The Board approved the contract with Sunbelt for Speech Therapy services.

Social Media Class Action Lawsuit

The Board retained the Frantz Law Group to represent it on a contingency fee basis as plaintiffs in litigation against various social media companies to recover damages incurred as a result of the mental health epidemic among QACPS’s students.

Time To Care Act Collaborative

Queen Anne’s County Public Schools will join the Time to Care Act Insurance Collaborative with MABE and MaCo in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement.

Approval of Policy 620 - Materials of Instruction

The Board approved Policy 620 subject to final edits for format and style.

Lease Purchase Agreement Approval - Lenovo Chromebooks

The Board approved the TD Equipment Finance, Inc. lease for 2,600 Chromebooks.
