December 2023
Dear Park Avenue Families...
December 2023
Dear Families,
This fall has flown by in a flash!
November has slipped past, and as we approach December we have lots to share about everything our students have been up to the past few weeks!
The next few weeks leading up to winter break will be just as busy as students continue to work hard and make gains in reading, writing, and math, and have some fun together, too! We look forward to participating in coding week, and some fun spirit days this month, too - it is sure to be busy!
Some highlights we have shared together the last few weeks here at school:
We had a HUGE turnout for Turkey BINGO night, and are already looking forward to our spring event!
We celebrated students filling the Panthometer with a movie day right before Thanksgiving break!
Students in grades K-2 had a community meeting attended by many families!
Students have been working hard on Panther Goals and learning how to track their progress!
As the first trimester comes to a close, we have a lot to celebrate about all of the hard work happening here at school! Please continue to reach out to your child’s teacher to make connections and ask questions - we want to work with you to help our students continue to grow! Report cards will be sent home this Friday - please be on the lookout.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, or to make a connection. I always enjoy connecting with our Park Avenue families.

How We Keep Students Safe
Safety is our first priority. This is why we have high expectations for student behaviors. It is why we train to evacuate and we train for intruders. Every staff member has multiple ways to access administration and are capable of making emergency calls as needed.
All the doors are locked all the time, external and internal
There are hard wired phones in each room
Cameras that are observed
Secure front entrance
Badged staff
Practice safety measured
We do not have unannounced visitors
Staff have multiple communication devices to contact others for immediate assistance
