Every Day Counts!
I hope I don't sound like I am repeating myself, but I wanted to reiterate to families that attendance at school really matters. It is not only important for our children to stay in a structured routine, but critical for students to be in school to learn. There was a chart that was presented to me this past week that really helps outline how much each day matters. I wanted to share it with you to help provide some context as to why regular attendance matters.
Our school has a goal of reaching 94.2% attendance for this year and we are falling below our goal. Our current rate is 93.3%. I know that children get sick and we understand that, but please make sure you send your children to school as much as you can. We love having them here to learn!
Benchmark Testing Results
We will be mailing home progress reports at the end of next week. Grades 3-5 families will also get an ELA and Math Benchmark family report. The report will outline how your child did on the test in October and January. Our goal is to help all our students do well when they are measured against the standards on the Ohio State Tests which we will take in April. If you have any questions when you get the report, please don't hesitate to call the school and we can help you!
