Special Board Meeting to Include Boundary Proposal Information October 5 (revised date)
A special Board of Education meeting has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 5, 6:30 p.m. at Hadley Junior High School. The meeting will include information about proposed boundary changes that could be implemented if the referendum passes and a new K-5 school is built. To learn more about the referendum, click here.
Referendum Information Sessions and Recording of Session #1
The first Virtual Referendum Information Session took place yesterday evening, September 21. Superintendent Kaczkowski, Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter and Chief Communications Officer Erika Krehbiel presented information and answered questions submitted in advance by community members.

There are two more Virtual Referendum Information Sessions scheduled prior to the election on November 8. Each information session will include different information. All are welcome and encouraged to register and submit questions in advance.

Parent Safety Session with Sergeant Holstead
Glen Ellyn Police Department Sergeant Craig Holstead will present a parent safety session in the Hadley Junior High Library Media Center on Thursday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m. Sergeant Holstead will share information about safety in District 41 and provide information about emergency response procedures. He will also provide a brief training for parents/community members on the Run. Hide. Fight protocol that we also teach students and staff in all of our school buildings. YOU CAN RSVP HERE
Annual Marching Band Day at Glenbard West
The Hadley Jr. High School 8th Grade Band students participated in the Annual Marching Band Day at Glenbard West High School on Friday, September 16th. Glenbard West Band Director Mr. Jonathan Walsh, along with student drum majors and section leaders, led the 8th Grade Band students through a morning of marching, music, and community building. This combined experience is intended to promote and encourage a smooth transition to our community’s high school program and ensemble. Hadley Band Directors Ms. Samantha Tribley and Mr. Chris Cooper are proud of their current and former students as they continue to make music an integral part of their life and education.
“Preventing the Unthinkable” Program with Expert Kristen Ziman | Tuesday, October 11
Community members are invited to a presentation that will challenge each person to think about their role in preventing violence. In her presentation titled “Preventing the Unthinkable”, former Aurora Police Chief Kristen Ziman will discuss how to identify signs that someone might need help or be prone to violence.
The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, at Hadley Junior High, 240 Hawthorne Blvd., Glen Ellyn. This program is in partnership with the Village of Glen Ellyn and Community Consolidated District 89.
