Wearing a Mask is a MUST!
Students returning to hybrid will be asked to remember the Three Ws:
Wear a Mask
Wash your hands
Watch your distance 6 ft.
We ask families that have students returning to the building for Hybrid learning to have their child(ren) practice wearing a mask for more extended periods of time. Two hours might be hard for some of our students. Also, discuss what 6 feet looks like and feels like. Anything we can do to pre-teach these things is appreciated.
Bandanas and Gators are NOT considered appropriate and safe face coverings.

Proof of a negative COVID-19 test result OR a doctor’s note indicating a different diagnosis and that COVID-19 is not suspected & be fever free for 24 hours without use of fever-reducing medications.
Primary Covid Symptoms include: Fever of 100.4 or higher and/or chill, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or new loss of taste or smell.

Arrival:
Families that are driving or walking students to the school, please know that adults are not allowed into the building at this time. If you are driving your student, we ask that you stay in your car and drive through one of the drop off zones. Please do not park and walk your students to their doors. We need to keep the number of people congregating at the entrances to only students to ensure the health and safety of all.
The arrival time is at 7:45 am. If you arrive before that, we will ask that your child(ren) stay in the car until 7:45. We will not have any supervision for children before that time, and it is not safe for them to be left unattended.
Dismissal:
Dismissal begins at 10:15. Please look through the attached slide deck for specific instructions for walker or car pick up. If you are picking up your child(ren) by car, you MUST stay in your car. Do not park and walk to get them. You were sent a packet with a nameplate to place in your car window to help us learn your car and student(s).

Playground Use
The Hiteon playground will be closed during in-person instruction time. The playground is closed from 7:30 am - 10:45 am daily during the remainder of the school year. To adhere to the strict social distancing guidelines, it is required that all families leave the school grounds at dismissal time and not congregate on the playground. Thank you for your cooperation.

Transportation Changes
If an unexpected change is necessary on the same day, DO NOT email the teacher. For same-day changes, you must call the office as soon as possible at 503-356-2140. Do not email the teacher, as email will not be checked during the hybrid school day from 7:30 - 10:30 am.
Thank you for your support of this school-wide policy.

Nutrition Services Information
The start of In-Person Hybrid Instruction is right around the corner, and our Nutrition Services department has been hard at work developing a plan for how to continue to provide free meals for all children during both Hybrid and CDL. The USDA has provided waivers for the rest of the school year that allow any child (ages 1-18) to access free meals.
Starting April 5, meal service via bus routes will be discontinued.
● Hybrid students can receive a free daily meal bag to take home.
● Two days of meals will be sent home on Tuesday.
● No registration is required.
If you do not want your child to receive a lunch at the end of the school day, please fill out the following form and return to Valerie Lawrence, Cafeteria Manager at valerie_lawrence@beaverton.k12.or.us .

It's Important to update your emergency contact in ParentVUE
As we move toward In-person Hybrid Instruction, it’s very important for all schools to have up-to-date emergency contact information for their students.
You can update student information online through ParentVUE. After logging in, click on the Family Updates and New Student Enrollment button located in the top right of your screen.
To learn more, watch this tutorial video or visit our Online Verification webpage.
