Message from Mrs. Gilbert & Mr. Ramalho
We look forward to our Multicultural Festival, an enriching, informative and entertaining event that will take place on Saturday afternoon. Thank you to the committee for all the time and effort they put in to pull off this wonderful tradition. A big thanks to those students and families that participated. We love learning about other cultures and traditions in our community.
Kindness Matters day is on April 3rd, followed by our second Try it Tuesday on April 4th. Hopefully the weather will be fine on April 5th for Walk to School day. There is always something going on at South Row. No school on Friday!
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson

Crazy Crayons
Crayon Recycling Drive
Families, we have a chance to get rid of all unwanted crayons! The PTO has kindly supported a recycling initiative. You can simply send your unwanted crayons to school with your children. Each class will have a collection box to drop them off. Then, the crayons will be shipped to Crazy Crayons for recycling. We are collecting both standard crayons and crayon pencils (in plastic encasings). The drive will start on April Fool’s Day on April 1, and finish just after Earth Day on April 24.
Nurses Corner
Dear South Row Families,
Thankfully our cases of strep throat seem to be dwindling. We are still seeing scattered cases of GI illnesses and cough and cold. If your student has cold or flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, nasal congestion, sore throat, diarrhea, or vomiting) please covid test them. We have free tests in the office if you need one! Please remind your child of the importance of hand washing. The teachers talk about it at school and I would love for that habit to be reinforced at home!
Third Grade Parents: Please send in your student’s 2022/2023 physical exam if you have not already done so.
Have a great week!
Warmly,
Nurse V.
PTO Corner
You will not want to miss our next PTO meeting! We'll have SO MANY things to announce and talk about. We'll hear from Donna, our school committee rep, learn more about the Sunshine Dance and Raffle fundraiser, hear about the PTO Board nominations for next year, and we'll have another volunteer opportunity to help bundle teacher appreciation gifts. There will be snacks and smiles and conversations with other parents. Please try to join us - 7pm in the school cafeteria. Please enter through the loading dock door off of the parking lot.
Last week the kids brought home flyers about the classroom theme for the basket raffle AND with the important information about our newest Spring event to showcase those baskets. Thanks to EVERYONE involved in putting together this fundraiser/dance.
